My approach
I am an integrative therapist and counsellor and this means that I draw from a range of psychotherapy modalities and adapt how I work to suit the needs of the client, where my role is to hold space and be an empathetic witness to what unfolds.
My work as a psychotherapist is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, where we gently explore how past experiences and early relationships may still influence how you feel, think, and relate to yourself and others in the here and now. Alongside this, a humanistic approach shapes my practice, meaning the focus is on you as a whole person and on creating a space that is accepting, respectful, and guided by what matters most to you.
From this foundation, I work in a relational way, meaning that the therapeutic relationship between us is an important part of the work itself. We pay attention to how you experience being with another person, including patterns that may show up in relationships outside of therapy. Together, we aim to create a space that feels collaborative, responsive, and shaped by trust, safety, and emotional attunement.
While this forms the core of my approach, I also draw on parts work, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), which sees us as having different “parts” of ourselves, such as anxious, protective, or critical parts, each trying to help in their own way. Therapy offers space to understand these parts with curiosity and compassion, rather than trying to get rid of them.
I incorporate practical, behaviour-focused tools from CBT, alongside mindfulness and body-based awareness, when these feel helpful. My work is flexible and trauma-informed, and we move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
I have a background in education and the wellness sector, and this, along with my experience as a therapist, allows me to intuitively and empathically support clients facing challenges in an inclusive space, enabling us to make sense of our world. There is no right or wrong way to think or feel in the therapy room, and every experience is welcomed with non-judgement. My work is founded on my core values of respect, authenticity, curiosity, and compassion.

“Trauma often shatters belief systems and robs people of their sense of meaning. In so doing, it forces people to put the pieces back together, rebuilding beautifully those parts of their lives and life stories that they could never have torn down voluntarily.”
